A person died in 2008 but income tax department sent notice now for non filling return and they charged 75000 as a penalty u/s 143 tell me what can I do

Can you please specify for which assessment year you have got a penalty order.
As per section 147, Assessing Officer is authorised only for 6 previous assessment years i.e. for upto Assessment year 2008-09 only
