Samplea and its custom duty

We purchased 1438/- value of goods as samples(for demonstration) and paid 600/- as custom duty for the carriage
How should i treat this samples and custom duty in my books ?
Please give details and heads of expenses ?

With regard to your query, Samples procured are to be treated as business promotion expenses under indirect expenses until and unless it is not for sale and custom duty paid is to be accounted under the head direct expenses.
