Perquisites are never monetary. All monetary payments are considered allowances and non monetary payments are known as Perquisites.

Dear friends, what happen in case of loan from company to the employees on which rate of interest is lower than the banking rate. In case of festival gifts to employees. The monetory gifts are provided in cash or cash equivalents.
In case , a company allotted flat to the employees less than the market value of the flat. Then the difference between agreement value and the market value would be taxed as perque in the hand of employee.
