Employee Can claim rent deduction of his home town towards his parents suppose ( Haridwar ) and he is doing job in gurgaon and living with his relatives.

The rent he paying for parents and spouse in the home town cannot be claimed as deduction. he would have claim the rent as a deduction in Gurgaon if he had taken the rental premises

Section 10(13A) exempts from tax only the allowance granted by the employer to meet expenditure already incurred on payment of rent for the residential accommodation occupied by the employee
