I one of my friend is manufacturing silicone sheets commonly known as rubber his monthly turnover is expected to be rs. 1 lacs is Excise duty is applicable or not
and he is desire to registered voluntarily for VAT, What is the procedure for the same

upto 150 lacs no excise duty, without input credit of excise duty paid on input/capital goods.
for vat registration , u have to get the same voluntarily against your 1st purchase and sale, by applying to your vat office.

Approach concerned local VAT office of your area. They will guide you to furnish documents such as rent agreement of premices,partnership deed,idetification ducuments photographs,etc.Generally your factory premices will be visited by officials of VAT dept,and a report will be made.You may have topay some deposit also.
