Plz tell me the rate of Service tax to be charged where bill had been raised in the month of march and payment will be received in the month of april in case of transportation services

Dear Vanya,
If the transportation services availed before 31st March 2012, then rate of service tax is 10% otherwise 12%

If Invoice raised before 31.03.2012 service tax rate will be @ 10.3% and there after @ 12.36% on accrual basis.

In transportation service tax is paid on reverse charge basis and the person who are paying service tax on reverse charge basis, is liable for service tax on payment basis.
The rate in case will be 12.36%

Reverse charge basis means person liable for payment of service tax is the person who is receing the services.
hence, in this case the person receing the transportation service will be liable for service tax.

Till now a person is paying the service Tax after raising the invoice of Transportation invoice and his advocate also did not tell him anything about this
is this payment is wrong?
