Dear All,
One of my clients have a residential property in india purchased when they were in india
The property is in joint name
They want to sell the property and invst abroad only
I want to know the procedure and formalities and taxability
does the wife also needs to come to india if they want to sell the flat..?

i believe, Income earned from India must be considered as Indian income and tax must be payable accordingly.

in my opinion not require to come India, Pay capital gain if arise on sale,
