Can any 1 tell me taxability of Priests(Pujari) Income of a Temple one of my known one was asking me regarding this i m sure i can reply to him with your help. i think it shud be taxed under PGBP as they require some special knowledge or shud it be taxed under Other Sources

16 October 2010 If the Pujari is getting lumsump amount everymonth from the temple soceity for performing the Pooja, it should be salary income. If he takes away the chadawa in the temple on everyday, it is iccome from other source. Under no circustances it is PGBP.
