Can anyone suggest me that "is there any limit prescribed in the companies Act over the percentage of shareholding of a director of the Com."

"If a director is holding 50% or more shares of the company then what will be the consequence?"

There is no maximum limit.

The provisions of become holding provisions will not apply if more than 50% paid up capital is held by director or any other Individual.

Director can hold any percentage of shares subject to the company's articles.
