can any body please tell me whether an existing assessee having a RC can apply online for surrender of RC.

27 May 2010 Yes, You can surrender RC online after getting used id and password from concern department.

14 June 2010 First you have activate your online service tax registration by getting TPIN and login id then after you can surrender your RC
