Notice pay on Salary

04 March 2010 I received the salary for 6 months after that i joined the new co giving the notice to the old co. The old co. charged from me one month notice pay salary, which i paid to the co. The TDS certificate issued by the old co. is for six months salary not deducting any amount i paid as notice pay salay. my question is

1. while filing my income tax return whether i show salary after deducting the notice pay salary.
2. if no, in which head i show the notice pay salary as deduction.
3. whether the old co. should revised the salary certificate incorporating the notice pay salary deduction and revised its tds return.

04 March 2010 In my view, Notice pay cannot be considered as deduction.

The salary as income is to be considered at gross level only.
