Ngo return due date

15 March 2012 i have a registered ngo under society act on april 2010. Ngo didnot have much work . i even dont have bank account. i want to know the legal requirements such as:--------
1. what is the time limit for filing a income tax return.
2. is it audit compulsory for NGO even its receipts are just 12000Rs in year 2010-11.
3. how can my ngo get registered for deduction under 80G.

11 January 2014 TIme limit is same mentioned in section 139(1) of the Income Tax Act i.e 30th Sept.

Audit is not cumpolsary in the Income Tax Act, but you need to check in the statute in which the NGO is registered whether any audit provision has been mentioned in it or not.

You need to apply for the 80G as per the procedure mentioned in the Rules of Income tax
