Is it mandatory to charge mvat, when goods are sold to SEZ , or exempted on fulfilment of certain conditions?

Local sale to SEZ units are taxable. Interstate sale to SEZ unit against I form is not taxable.

You can charge MVAT in the norrmal course. But the buyer of SEZ can claim refund later from the VAT department...mjk
