Mat

This query is : Resolved

29 October 2012 Is it Compulsory to issue certificate in form no.29B even though if the company is not liable to pay MAT tax.??

29 October 2012 I don't think so..

30 October 2012 Report from Chartered Accountant in Form 29B is required only "if income of the company under normal provisions is lower than 18.5 percent of Book Profit". This provision is governed by sec 115JB. In other words company need not to furnished certificate in Form 29B if it does not liable to pay tax accordance with the provision of MAT.

30 October 2012 Thank you!!

11 November 2012 Yes both the experts are correct and it is not required
