Levy of Service Tax

If a company is providing both taxable & exempted services. Taxable Services are below Rs. 10.00 Lacs & exempted services are more than Rs. 10.00 Lacs. Then is it mandatory for the company assesee to get registered under the Service Tax Act if the total amount of both the taxable services & exempted services are more than Rs. 10.00 Lacs while the taxable Services are Less than Rs. 10.00 Lacs. Please suggest.
The company shall be required to be registered when the taxable turnover exceeds Rs. 9 Lakh.
The ambove limit is not applicable, if the company is required to service tax under reverse charge basis.
