What is new tax rate for works contract

a) 7 % of the whole contract amount if having CST also. It is 5% if the contract is awarded by govt of Kerala, KWA or Local authorities. No need to pay section 6(2) tax.
b) 4 % of the whole contract amount if having KVAT only. Exemption for contract awarded by govt of Kerala, KWA or Local authorities is withdrawn . No need to pay section 6(2) tax.
