21 July 2012 sir if i am a student and not a salaried man
than which itr should i should be filing
assuming i m having interest income, gift from parents, ad salary from firm(though i am not a partner).

plz, plz

thnax in advance

21 July 2012 Being a student you must learn to file all the types of ITRs.
.
For an assessee having Interest Income and Salary Income ITR 1 has to be filed.
.
As far as gifts from parents are concerned it's right of every child specifically when he is a young student like you. It's not require any specification in the ITR.
.

21 July 2012 You can file ITR-1 for salary and interest.

Gift from parents is exempt.

21 July 2012 Yes you need to file ITR - 1, And gift Income will be Exempt.
