ITR-1 Rectification

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
If you've incorrectly filed your ITR-1 for AY 2021-22 or 2020-21 and received a demand notice, you may need to rectify the return. The procedure involves filing an Updated ITR under Section 139(8A) of the IT Act if there's an additional tax liability. However, if your tax liability reduces, an updated return cannot be filed, and there are no other stated options.
