Is reimbursement of children education allowance is taxable

10 February 2010 I have reimbursed tution fees of my 2 children @ 1200 per child totalling to Rs.2,400/-. Is this reimbursement of children education allowance is taxable, If it is taxable then by what extent

10 February 2010 Children education allowance is Rs.100 per child per month Maximum 2 children is exempted- but it should be named as allowance, if not allowance given like reimbursement is taxable under perqusities
