I am a newbie to the world of Taxation etc. I have very poor knowledge of all the process of taxation, service tax etc. I feel like my CA is cheating me and so I need some suggestions here.

Whenever my CA files a Income tax or service tax, he never gives me any acknowledgement receipts. I did not ask him initially but now I am getting suspicious that he is not filing the things on time or may be filing not at all and eating away by hard earned money. I did not get time initially do I could not follow him.

I have following questions in my mind, which I request experts here to reply. I shall be highly obliged of you for any suggestions:

1- How can I check if my Income Tax was paid by him and if yes then on which date . Any website link for checking that

2- Similarly I want to know if my service tax was deposited by him on time. Any website link for checking that?

3- I have paid him so far using online. Whenever I pay him can I ask him to give me a receipt. Will there be any value of the receipt?

4-In case he has really cheated me is there any forum where I can lodge complaint against him?

I shall be grateful for you for your suggestions.

09 May 2012 1. Firstly whenever any tax is deposited with the Government, a challan is received. You can ask your CA to provide you with the challans for the income tax as well as service tax.

2. You can check the taxes paid on your behalf by in Form 26AS by registering on incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
