Can companies providing services (for eg. laundry/dry clean) send bills to its customers through email instead of giving printed bills. Is it mandatory that we need to give printed bill. Please confirm. Thanks

IF YOU CHARGING SERVICE TAX THEN YES NAME OF THE CLIENT IS REQUIRED TO BE PRINTED ON BILLS AND PHYSICAL COPIES OF BILLS NEED TO BE RETAINED.

U can refer to service tax rules ,1994 -rule 4A u will get all the detailed rules relating to invoice.
