for the A Y 2011-12 we filed income tax return manually in that year Demand raised but how to verify under which head of tax is differ there is no physical and hard copy of intimation for that year how to find intimation order u/s 143(1)

24 January 2014 If you have demand in the process of IT department then it should be issue 143(1) intimation even though you filed manual return, If earlier the department not send it then you request Your AO to issue 143(1) intimation or return process letter by the department.

25 January 2014 In the www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in portal under my account it shows outstanding tax demand some amount but actually that year there was no pending tax liability as per our computation .then how to rectify it in that year return was filed manually and intimation also lost then how to rectify that outstanding tax demand and how to proceed it.

25 January 2014 In such case write a letter to your AO with representation of your income and tax liability and tax payment details for such assessment year along with the tax demand appearing at incometax web site requesting the details of demand and why it appears etc.... then your AO shall provide you details with the help of that take further action.
