pls let me know whether i am correct or not?
if a house property is purchased in the name of dependent mother and interest is being paid out by son then son cannot claim deduction u/s 80C and sec.24 of income tax act for interest and repayment of housing loan for house in mother's name.

20 May 2011 actually my question is whether for property in the name of mother, can son claim deduction in his Return provided mother is not claiming deduction?
