Hi I would be selling my house and incurring long term capital gains in May 2012. As I am made to understand I have to invest the whole or some part of it under some bonds that provide tax relief under section 54 EC.
My question is what happens if any of these companies allotting such bonds does not come up with an offer or issue of such bonds in six month. As I would be selling my flat in May 2012 I will have only uptil November 2012 to invest and in such a scenario what can I do to save tax.
Second question is is there any company which has these bonds under 54EC open thru out the year.

Only bonds of National Highway Authority of India and Rural Electrification Corporation Limited are covered u/s 54EC.
Their bonds are normally available throughout the year.
