Can we file IT Returns for Assessment Year 2009-10 (Financial Year 2008-09)is there any penality and interest. Please specify.

THE TIME FOR FILING IS NOW OVER

Yes you can file the same provided you have received a notice u/s 142(1) or 148. You can also file the return voluntarily but that return has to be filed in physical form and if any tax due with interest has to be deposited before filing of the return.
