dear all,
my income from rented house property (4 nos.) is above 10 lacs. and i am not charged service tax on rent.
pls tell me how to save service tax

services in relation of renting is covered under service tax ne. hence liable to charge and deposit.

As your Income is exceeding the threshold limit of 10 lacs you are liable to charge service tax and deposit the same to the department with in due date.

hi krishan kant,
whn ur income crossed Rs. 9 lakh, u should have got urself registered, nd u need to pay service tax on excess amount after Rs. 10 lakh. so get registred immediately and collect service tax from tenants and deposit it by due dates.
