I AM PLANNING TO BUY A CAR FROM MUMBAI BUT I WILL BE USING IT IN GUJARAT. VAT IN MAHARASHTRA IN 12.5%. WHAT ARE THE FORMALITIES I NEED TO FULFULL TO USE THE CAR IN MUMBAI

There will be no vat problem in bringing a car from Maharashtra and using in Gujrat,but,you will have to pay some road tax of Gujrat within one year.Just verify with the RTO office.....mjk

What about additional 2.5% guj vat as told to us by rto office
