As per 21st gst council meeting recommendation held on 9.9.2017,rate of broomstick has been reduced from 5% to nil.This can be viewed in gst- cbec from gst rate for goods PDF .

As there is no specific notification,dispute arises in the ax rate of gst.The u.p tax authority imposes tax@5% but in odisha the dealers are not collecting tax.As such sought your suggestion.

As per GST rate schedule of CBEC nil GST applicable no body can question it's validity.

As per notification no.28/22.9.17 brooms or brushes consisting of twig or vegetable material bound together with or without handle was inserted in SL no.144 along with mudhas made of sarkand.Some people interpreted that brooms bound together is exempted under nil rate gst but brooms not in bounded form is taxable coming under notification no.27/22.9.17 in SL no.260.what is ur view
