I wanrt to know what is the exact base for grouping of shares?Why shares are grouped into A,B,T etc. group?And is trading criteria similar for all the groups?

The classification is based on various parameters like market cap, free float, turnover, profit and others as decided by the BSE.
The criteria are circuit limits are different for the groups as well as for scrips within the group.
