please tell me how to retrieve the password for efilling.
as I don't have any thing except pancard.

click on the FORGOT password link and they will give you various options.
One out of that is provide the details as per PAN

You can reset password through forget password option. Following options are there:
1) Answer Secret Question
2) Upload Digital Signature Certificate
3) Acknowledgement No and Bank Account No
4) Using OP (PINs)
5) Login through your net banking account
Amol Ji there is nothing to provide details as per PAN to reset password.

Those who are NOT having any of the above, can send the details as per PAN card through e mail. The password is reset by the Dept under intimation to this e mail account. Please try this. I have done this at least 10+ cases where the earlier CA was NOT ready to share the PASSWORD.

But Amol Ji the password will be sent to registered email ID if I sm not wrong.

Yes, that is what I also felt in the initial days. But I tried from the e mail id of the client. And it worked.

I also tried many times but the password was sent to registered e-mail ID and not to email ID from which mail was sent. Thereafter I discussed the matter with their helpdesk executive and they informed that the password will be sent to registered mail only. They also said to wait a little longer as they will come out with new option to reset password. Now they have come out with new option to reset password. You can use OTP option and give new email ID and M No where OTP will be sent.

That means it seems to be CASE specific. May be I was able to prove the CREDENTIALS of the assessee, so it might have worked.
When nothing works, we need to try OUT of BOX, isnt it?
