i have filled ITR 1 as payable Rs.40 but actually he has a refund of Rs. 1000 and it is filled after due date....how to rectify this

Nothing can be done. Its gone..............
Try by giving letter to rectify u/s 154 to Local Income Tax Department. 99.99% Not Possible.
