my query regarding export sale which date consider for vat returns purpose when goods export out of india shipping bill date ( control copy) or when I prepared invoice & packing list

20 January 2014 The correct date is the date on which the title to goods transfers to buyer from seller. This can be inferred from the contractual terms of the agreement.

Usually it will be the GR / Shipping bill Date in case of FOB contracts.
