How is tax calculated for employees joining in the middle of FY? If they do not provide proof of income earned prior to joining current organization?

18 March 2010 Employees joining from the other comapany during the middle of the year .the current employer need to collect declaration in the form 12 B for the previous employment salary income based on that you need to calculate the total income of the employee and tds. if the employee not declared any thing in form 12B regarding previous employment you can calculate the present salary only

18 March 2010 Take a declaration in form 12B & 12C and if they do not give declaration in the above forms then calculate tax u/s 192 as if the salary paid by you is the only income of the employee for the year
