Electronic contract note is a contract document issued by the members of the stock markets to their clients showing the detailed log of transactions done on any given day in the stock market.All the members of the stock market desirous of issuing such ECN’s to their clients has to follow the instructions issued by the market regulator SEBI in circular 200520. The ECN should be digitally signed, encrypted and should be in a non tamperable form.
