Plz let me know weather A director is employee of company or agent as per companies act. 2013 what is the definition of directors,

25 October 2016 Director means the Director who is appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company.
He can either be a executive Director if he is employed on payroll of the Company and is also paid salary and he can be regarded as whole time Director of the Company and he can be appointed as non executive Director of the Company, i.e he is not on the payroll of the Company

26 October 2016 Sir the question is weather A MD can be the member of PF or not however as per the PF provision only A employee can be the member of PF therefore how to decide weather MD, additional, non executive director is employee of company or not. For that do i need to check company AOA & tds deduction criteria as 192B for employee and 194J professionals,
