07 January 2013 Sir,

please answer the following query for obtaining DIN.

is it supporting documents required to be attested by the practicing professional with there seal as per new rule. which is effect from 25/12/2012 or only self attestation of applicant is enough !
and is it necessary to self attestation on Photograph of applicant !

If it is filed by professional then professional attestation is also required. Yes, photo should be self attested.

07 January 2013 i) Supporting documents are to be attested by the applicant/ notary/ gazetted officer and not by practicing professional. Please refer clause 2(1) of the affidavit.
ii) Certification part of the DIN-1 form talks about photo attestation which is drafted very loosely leading to want of clarity regarding attestation/ attaching of photo etc.
