10 November 2011 Dear Experts,

I am filing form DIN 1, but when i put PAN Number of a person & after pressing Verify pan details, the error occurs showing the fathers name entered is not same as per Printed on PAN Card.

on the Pan card fathers name is printed as P K DHORE. For DIN 1 abbrivations are not allowed.

so what to do for the same. is it necessary to correction in pan card first & then to apply for the DIN 1?

is there any way out without making correction in pan card...?

This can happen because of a clerical error.
Please fill in the Name and the Fathers Name and other entries column in the DIN Form exactly as on the Pan Card. Even a slightest change will make it invalid. It may also happen that that the name of the person in the IT Database is different from the one written on the Pan Card. Some people only get their initials written on the card. Just check this out and tell if there is problem again.

11 November 2011 Dear Siddhi,

If you on the IT Website there is a place called know your pan. Just type the persons name and his date of birth. if the name and date of birth is matching you will get the pan no which you match with your Din 1. The following is the link. Just give a try.

I have checked on IT site it has abbrivated father name and our DIN 1 form does not accept abbrivatead name...

kindly help me... what to do?

11 November 2011 Dear Sidhi,

I saw the Form, now we have only one option. Please call the Mca Din Cell immediately to know what can be done in this regard. I can assure you they will certainly help you.

It may also happen that you will have to get the name of the person corrected (enlarged)in the IT Database.

But for the present give them a call as soon as possible.
