Kindly let me know , consequences for delay in submission of TDS return

01 August 2011 Penalty of Rs 100 per day till the return is filed. But TDS Department is not very stringent on this front. Very rarely they impose such penalty. So simply file your TDS return within due date even if filed late no need to pay the penalty yourself instead wait for the instruction of the department.

But yes try to file the return in time as this provision is there. So better file in time.
