Deduction of housing loan interest

20 August 2019 Mr.X & Mrs.Y both husband and wife, are co-applicant (50% each) to a housing loan
But flat purchased is registered only in the name of wife
So can deduction of interest be claimed by both in the proportion of 50% each ?
