RATES OF INCOME-TAX FOR ASSESSMENT YEAR 2010-11
TOTAL INCOME AMOUNT OF TAX
Up to Rs. 1,60,000 NIL
(A) Individuals [except (B) & (C)], HUF, every AJP and AOP’s & BOI’s
On next Rs. 1,40,000 10%
On next Rs. 2,00,000 20%
On balance amount 30%
(B) An individual, being a woman resident in India, Age 65 yrs at any time during the P/Y
TOTAL INCOME AMOUNT OF TAX
Up to Rs. 2,40,000 NIL
On next Rs. 60,000 10%
On next Rs. 2,00,000 20%
On balance amount 30%
COMMON FOR (A), (B) & (C) AS ABOVE
Education Cess: @ 2% of the Total Tax Payable.
Secondary & Higher Education Cess: @ 1% of the Total Tax Payable.
