01 April 2010 it is fundamental question but i have not found the answer from anywhere. please tell me, why is compny law also known as corporate law? what is specific meaning of corporate in respect of ca study?

01 April 2010 Hi,

According to me corporate law is a much wider term as compare to company law. Generally company law means Companies Act, 1956.

Whereas corporate law involves other acts which are connected with company as a whole. Some of the examples of these laws are MRTP Act, 1969, FEMA Act, 1999, IDRA, SEBI Act, Consumer Protection act, Depositories act, 1996.

01 April 2010 many many thanks sir for replying, but i have one confusion about this that what does corporate mean either that company which is registered under the Comany Act 1956 or the share market is business available anywhere or listed comany ?
