07 March 2010 yes its 100% possible. you can refer Bangure's book for IDT.

Yes you may go for self study. For ITD go for Bangar.

For DT theory go for TN Manoharan or Girish Ahuja.
For DT practical refer VK Singhania.

Self study is a very good option. It may give you a great confidence.

But there are certain pre-conditions for self study:

1. Proper guidance is very much important.

2. Choose correct reference books.

3. Have a regular discussions with your friends.

4. Self study may be a failure if you prepare without interaction with anybody else.
