i have tin number.i want to purchase material from outside state.they are asking c form.where do i get that c form.

yes, you need CST registration for issue of C form,
get in touch with PRO of your vat office, he will guide you properly reg procedure.

Yes, CST Registration is required.
Form C is required when:
1. you purchase material from outside your state, and
2. you are going to use that material in your manufacturing process, and
3. you do not wish to pay full CST (i.e. 2% instead of 12%)
For example, if you operate in Gujarat, and purchase a chemical from a company in Mumbai, the full CST is 12%
But, if you provide Form C to the party in Mumbai, you will pay CST @ 2%
Thus, you can save 10% CST. That can be a big amount!

Both the expert has replied 50%. To get the C form you have to apply to the Sales Tax Department in the prescribed form and is to be deposited with the fee per C form along with the copy of the bill or name and address of the supplier. The printed C form shall be issued to you for handing over to the dealer from you have purchased the goods.
