Has ICAI kept a lid on the number of transfer that a student can take during his articleship? If yes, how much??

I have cleared 1st group of PE II & in november 2008 I am going to appeare in second group, so please suggest me that for costing, Incometax & I.T., which books are most prefereble to read.Please suggest me also that Institute module is how much useful for costing & Incometax, If I would go through only books than it will be enough or not & for I.T. also whether modules is enough or any other books are adviseable to read.

Please send me also notes, pemphlets or any other materials relating to second group.

How to obtain examination Roll No. of previous examinations?

In current case, last CA- Final exam was appeared in May 2007 and to desired for now November 2008. As because of gap, unable to trace out the previous examination nos.

sir i have completed my b.com final year in may 2008 & doing articleship since 1/02/2008. then i need to submit form 112 even i m not doing any other course. someone told me that i have registered for articleship before march 2008 then i dont need to submit form 112. institute has sent me form 112 by post to submit it. i m not getting what to do?

I was registered to the Chartered Accountancy Course (Intermediate course) based on foundation examination. I have completed my Articleship(July 2001 to July 2004).
I have already exhausted five consecutive attempts after passing foundation examination. I appeared for PE-II exam in May 2008. But my result has been withheld for the reason that I have already exhausted five consecutive attempts after passing foundation examination.

Please confirm whether I am eligible to appear in Professional Competence Course ( Second group) or can I take up PEE-II exam itself in Nov 2008. I have already completed First group of PE-II held in May 2007.

In case I need to take PCE –second group itself, please let me know whether I need to undergo 100 Hours of Information technology training before taking up CA PCE-second group in Nov 2008. Since I have completed Articleship, I don’t think I have to register for articleship again. Since I am left with very less time for sending Exam application for Nov 2008 exam, kindly help me out in this regard at the earliest.

My name is Sandeep and I am a CA final student(OLD Course) and I really need your help to get the answer of my below given queries.

In the month of April 1995, I registered myself with ICAI.

I had cleared the 2nd group of Final in Nov. 1998 and as of now the 1st group is still pending with me since I haven't got the proper time for prepration for the last group.

I am planning to appear in the first group (the only group left) in coming Nov 2008 attempt.

I have 2 queries related to my eligibility in coming examination.

1. Do I need to complete any formality related to re-registration or anything like to appear in Nov. 08 exam, last time I appeared in May'07.

2. What would happen if I'll not clear my this last group till Nov'09 (the last attempt under old course). In that case will i have to appear in BOTH group under new syllabus or the exemption of one group will be there in new course as well.

Sir , i want to knew that if i pursue CA , CWA instead of CA alone then what
extra benefits i will get in job and
while practising? What's your opinion
regarding this , whether a CA student must pursue CWA with CA.
