I want to know the tax treatment of amount paid to the employees whose service has been terminated by the employer and they are paid certain amount towards full and final settlement as per their employment contract.

Now the tickling issue is that, the employees have been retrenched before completion of their employment term. so how should the employer proceed their full and final settlement amount as far as the TDS aspects are concerned. What are the tax benefits available to the employees in such situation and what other things to be taken into consideration by employer before deducting TDS.

Kindly let me know the available benefits to the employees under income tax act.

Need help regarding online verification form.............i m trying for the online verification form but its simply not working and giving an error message "INVALID USER ID/MOBILE NO".............but i filled the same mob no in my exam form of nov 2011...........tried to contact the ICAI help desk but all in vain.......nobody's answering the Query der......Don't know wat 2 do....pls help............

But now This CA is telling that he will not keep me as article ..
So what is the procedure to Change the articleship now.

I have completed 3.5 years of articleship training on 28.10.2011 and have received the certificate of service from Institute. Now after filling the online exam form, the generated pdf is showing "Name & Signature of the Principal with Membership No" below the designated space for my signature and photo.
My query is-
1) Can I get the form attested by a CA who is in service.

2) In that case do I need to alter the "Principal" word used there & what should I write instead.

Feeling a bit confused in this regard. Your help in this matter will enable me to submit the duly filled up form as early as possible.

Friends i am confusion whether to go for M.COM or MFA from Bangalore university after completion of my B.COM.
Currently i am not interested in CA i would like to have a PG so please suggest me which course is better.

my cousin lost her CPT certificate and wants to submit her IPCE exam form. She also already submitted the ONLINE form..

My question is :

Whether we need to attach the CPT Marksheet with the form ???

We had not received the original marksheet of CPT and the JUNE 2011 marksheet is also not available on internet .

Can anyone help me in taking final decision since i am thinking to give my ipcc 1st group papers in may 2012 but the problem i have not started studying any subject nor i have joined any classes for any subjects and another problem is in end of April there is my family function i am not understanding how should i prepare for my exams in these remaining days also how should i focus on my studies and i am not getting proper timing and preparation schedule for my studies. Help me should i give my attempt or not.
