stamp duty on pref shares

hi,
We are in process of issuing 50,000 Pref shares at face value Rs. 10/- and at premium Rs. 990/-.

What will be the stamp duty on issue , whether stamp duty will be paid on total amount including premium or on face value of shares ?

What is mode for payment of stamp duty, can we pay it by the mode of revenue stamp ?

Regards,
Abhilasha

share application money

Sir,
can you please tell me the presentation of share application money in the balance sheet of a company.
I think it should be presented under the head unsecured loans, but some people argue that it should be presented under Share Capital.
Please guide.........

As per the provisions of section 205C of Companies Act, 1956, amounts in the unpaid dividend accounts of companies, remaining unpaid for 7 years shall be transferred to Investor Education and Protection Fund. In terms of sub clause 1(e), interest accrued on such amount shall also have to be transferred to IEPF. What is the date for transfer of such interest to IEPF i.e. whether seven years from the day the interest was credited to the company’s account or on the date and along with the unpaid dividends are transferred to IEPF on yearly basis?
