B. Com

Sir,

Barathiar University, joining hands with ICAI (through a memorandum of understanding) has a B Com, which requires CA Inter passed students to write and pass only in 3 or 4 papers.

On the other hand, B Com from University of Madras requires around 17 papers to be passed.

As an employer, will both be valued as same ?

As I am pursuing articleship, there are no chances for me to go for a regular college B Com. so, Which is advisable, of the two above ?

Requiring Info on CISA

Hi all,

I am pursuing Chartered Accountancy Final Course along with B.Com (Honours) Final Year. I am interested in pursuing the Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) course. I would be glad if you can guide me for the same by answering the following questions:

1) What are the eligibility requirements for pursuing the CISA course ?
2) What are the steps involved in getting the CISA certification ?
3) Does a Chartered Accountant and a B.Com (Honours) graduate get any kind of exemption for CISA ?
4) How much time does it take to complete CISA course ?
5) What is the mode of education in CISA -- distance learning or classroom programme ?
