Greetings.

A public limited company did not commenced its operation and hence all the expenses related to the project as well as general office and administrative expenses are booked preoperative expenditure. Now, in F.Y. 2013-14, the company invested its surplus funds in FD from where it generated Interest Income of Rs. 3 lakhs.

My query is, can we deduct the general office and administrative expenses against the Interest Income viz. office electricity expenses, printing stationery, telephone, office staff salary, postage telegram etc etc.??

Whether disclosure of Indian company is enough or we need to mention interests in Foreign Companies also?

I AM auditing a company they paid 150000 in cash to government as octroi expense for some project. IS this a valid payment?? IF yes, please tell me rules for such payment.

Is a pvt ltd company compulsorily required to get its books audited u/s 44 AB even if its turnover is below Rs. 1crore. I mean, is section 44AB is applicable to limited companies also ? plz consider section 44AD also while answering.

I have one client who have purchased lift in f.y 2011-12 of which payment has been made of Rs 30 Lakh,which was accounted as purchase.And in next year 20 lakhs payment were made which was accounted as payment as advances & not as purchase.So,now what is the action to rectify this amount as lift & rectify the amount as advance which is alrweady for lift.What is disclosure requirment in audit report
