Can you pls tell me the procedure for registering a additional place of business under Excise Act. Pls tell me in detail as I have very negligible knowledge of Excise. Also pls suggest the form to be used, docs required, etc.

we are under SSI Unit for manufacturing of Cable & wire making Machinery... Since last two year our turnover less than One crore,this financial year no orders.In point of View we are Suspended to Production activity for this year and intimating to Excise autority.

And also kindly suggest we are eligible for SSI Excempprtion under sections Notification No. 8/2003 - Central Excise/
Notification No.9/2003 - Central Excise.

i am not maintaining any records to Excise,if we are eligible to excemption..

I am doing audit of Tiles Manufacturing Unit.They are purchasing Chain Pulley for their machines.Chain Pullies are not having longer life.They may break in manufacturing process.so they purchase it on frequent basis.

RBI's base price index changed from 1993-94 to 2004-05 in RBI monthly bulletin. we have contract awarded from May'2010 in which price variation is there based on RBI Index with base as 93-94. But now current month index is not available for 93-94 base. RBI is now publishing only with base as 2004-05. How to convert May -10 to till date index which is basing on 93-94 to 2004-05 base.

Dear Sir,

We are manufacturer of plastic articles and doing job work for others.
We have received raw materials from principle manufacturer for job work but due to having stock in our Finished Goods Store, we want to remove the same first.
Please advice; how can I account in RG1 and whether I can send goods from RG1 stock for job work.
