In a querry asked by Mr Shrinivas on 16.06.08 on FBT , Mr Shekhar has replied that FBT is applicable on Companies and not on Partnership Firms and Sole proprietorship firms.. As far as I know Partnership Firms are liable to pay FBT, yes proprietorship firms are outside the purview of FBT. Am I right.

My sister in law filed a false dowary case in May 2003. In that case her father who is a retired government officer claims that he expended more than 12 lac Rs. in marriage & submitted a list in court. I want to complain against him with a proof of list that how can a retired person expended such a great sum of money on marriage while he filed only pension income in his return. tHIS MEANS HE HAS OTHER SOURCES OF INCOME WHICH HE DID NOT DECLEAR IN HIS RETURN. I made several complain at local income tax department but they did not took any step. Where should i complain ?
